Camp Willowdale Academy could only be possible because of the wonderful and passionate staff and volunteers we have. Let us introduce you to them here.
Camp Director - Carl Roopnarine
Carl has helped with Camp Willowdale Academy since our first year and he's been involved intimately in every aspect of the Camp. Carl has a passion to work with children and it's evident in how the children respond to him.
His outgoing and bubbly nature always manages to bring a smile and laugh out of everyone around him. He's fantastic with arts and crafts, drama and engaging children to sing and shout out loud (which is something we do very often at Camp Willowdale Academy!).
Camp Supervisor - Winnie Loh
Winnie has worked with Camp Willowdale Academy since Day One. To say that she knows a thing or two about children would be a huge understatement seeing as how she has three adorable kids of her own and an Early Childhood Education degree from Ryerson University.
With Winnie at the helm of Camp Willowdale Academy, you can expect that your children will be well looked after and treated like family. She brings a fresh vision to our camp each year and has fun suprises up her sleeves all the time!
Whether it's one of our campers, a staff member or a volunteer, Winnie finds a way to reach out to them and make them feel at home. In fact, her friendliness is very contagious. But don't just take our word for it -- come in and meet her yourself.
